Greg Crowell

Gregory Crowell is university organist and affiliate professor of music general education at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. He also serves as director of music of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids. A former OHS director of publications, Crowell is now editor of Clavichord International. He holds degrees from the New England Conservatory and the University of Cincinnati, and has also studied at the North German Organ Academy and Musica Hamabostaldia. He has performed as organist, harpsichordist, clavichordist, and conductor in Europe, Canada, Japan, and the United States. Broadcasts of Gregory Crowell’s performances have been heard on numerous American and European broadcasting services, as well as on American Public Media’s Pipedreams. His compact disc recordings include live organ performances on the OHS label, and, with hornist Paul Austin, the critically acclaimed compact disc Moons and Ancestors: The Music of Robert Shechtman.
